The choice of agricultural machines
that help maintain green areas is becoming more and more numerous. Currently, we can choose how we want to mow meadows, wastelands, green areas, and what we want to do with the mown grass.
Flail mowers
have become a very interesting proposition for many of our customers. Some people call them "special purpose" mowers because they can also mow tall grass without any problems. As the name suggests, flail mowers
are mowers in which the mowing function is performed by flails placed spirally on the cutting shaft. The cutting shaft rotates at the appropriate speed, cutting anything above the set height around its axis.
The AGL double-sided flail mower,
commonly known as a " mulcher
", is a heavy-duty mower model with the ability to both side shift and tilt the mowing unit. This adjustment is done hydraulically. This type of flail mower offers enormous possibilities. In addition to the standard use - mowing green areas in cities or wastelands, meadows and pastures; the AGL model will work well on sloping terrain. Mowing roadsides, slopes, ditches and pond embankments is the main task of this machine. We can work with the machine either on the side or behind the tractor. This is definitely a product that will also fulfill its purpose in municipal companies when taking care of green areas.
In what areas will this mower be used 100%? roadsides, ditches and slopes, water reservoir embankments, green areas, parks, thickets, wastelands neglected areas where there may be stones, branches (max. diameter 80 mm) or other obstacles If you have a flail mower, it is very important to regularly check the sharpness of the cutting mechanism. This guarantees that mowing will be efficient and effective. A flail mower not only mows the grass, but also mulches it. What is it about? It is a technique of mowing grass/other organic materials and grinding the cut material so that it becomes a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. The advantage of mulching is also preventing soil erosion, slowing down the growth of weeds and, importantly, getting rid of unwanted mowings, e.g. grass, which is often an additional problem.
We can mulch not only the grass, but also crop residues, thanks to which we reduce the amount of harvest residues, provide the soil with natural fertilizer and protect against pests living, for example, in the stems of the above-ground parts of plants.
The AGL 125
flail mower (mulcher)
has a cutting width of 125 cm. The AGL model has hydraulic adjustment of both the inclination and extension of the machine. The mower's inclination range is 90° vertically and 65° horizontally. The drive from the tractor's PTO shaft is 540 rpm. It is also possible to adjust the copying shaft.
When choosing a flail mower,
it is very important to select the right mower for the power and weight of our tractor. The AGL 125 flail mower (mulcher)
requires a minimum of 20 HP with a large tractor weight.
